Creating makes me feel like I have a genuine purpose. There is something magical and gratifying about bringing something into existence that derives from my mind, body, and experiences. Simultaneously, for me, it serves as not only a physical but also an emotional record of different chapters in my life. Some of my favorite works were created from the experience of being in love, while others helped pull me out of intense times of loss and grief.
Since I was a child, I have always felt a relentless need to express myself through creation. While painting has been my most favored form of creating over the past year, I have worked with, dabbled in, and experimented with a variety of other creative art forms.
My skills became most refined during my time in architecture school, where I learned how to hand draft, create physical models, and work with digital programs such as Photoshop, SketchUp, and Rhino.
I have always felt that a large part of my purpose in this life is to live through my authenticity and to be transparent in who I am and how I choose to express myself. Ironically, at times, this can be one of the most challenging things for me, but it makes it that much more gratifying when I express myself and stand in my power.
I hope you enjoy my work as much as I have enjoyed bringing it to life.
